Account Information: When you create a ChaircAlm beta account we collect your name, email address, dialysis schedule, and dialysis center (optional).
Health-Related Information: ChaircAlm collects patient-reported data including body weight, blood pressure readings, symptom reports, and treatment session data. This information is entered voluntarily by you during app use.
Contact Information: Phone numbers for SMS alert delivery — yours and your designated family contacts.
Consent Records: Your signed beta agreement including name, date, and IP address.
Usage Data: Login dates and times for account security and service improvement.
We use your information to:
- Provide the ChaircAlm patient safety awareness service
- Send SMS safety alert notifications to you and your designated contacts
- Maintain your account and authenticate your access
- Improve ChaircAlm during beta development
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your health data for any purpose other than operating the ChaircAlm service.
Phone numbers collected by ChaircAlm are used solely to deliver patient safety alert notifications via SMS through Twilio Inc., our SMS service provider.
We do not share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used only to deliver the specific message types you have consented to receive.

ChaircAlm is currently in beta and stores data using SQLite database on Render.com cloud infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with SHA-256 and are never stored in plain text.
We are actively developing a HIPAA-eligible hosting pathway for production deployment. As a beta product, ChaircAlm is not yet HIPAA compliant. Do not use ChaircAlm as your primary medical record system.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time
- Withdraw consent for beta participation

ChaircAlm uses the following third-party services:
- Twilio Inc. — SMS message delivery
- Render.com — Application hosting
- Zoho Mail — Business email
